OKLAHOMA CITY - The John Marshall athletic department announced the hiring of Tarrion Adams as the program's next head football coach earlier this week.

Last season, Adams served as an Assistant Coach at John Marshall and brings a plethora of football knowledge to his first head coaching position.

Adams is a 2004 graduate of Moore High School were he was a standout football star for the Lions. His senior year featured over 1,400 rushing yards and 18 total touchdowns as he went on to play at the University of Tulsa for four years. He graduated in the Winter of 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Education.

His playing career at Tulsa was just as impressive, as he set multiple school records in 2008 for single season rushing totals, single game rushing total, single game rushing touchdowns, career rushing yards, and career rushing touchdown totals. In 2009, he entered the NFL Draft.

"I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to lead the John Marshall football program." said Adams on Monday during his introductory press conference. "We have some outstanding young men here in this program and I look forward to bringing the best out of them on the field and in the classroom."
