OKLAHOMA CITY - As we put a finishing bow on the 2025-26 athletic year, it’s time to take a look back at the 9-month campaign across Oklahoma City Public Schools and highlight all of the accolades in the fourth annual “Year of Champions” feature.
State Championships, Players of the Year, All-State Selections. OKCPS Athletics had quite a few in these categories in 2025-26 as the largest school district in the state of Oklahoma wraps up yet another sensational year both on the field of competition as well as in the classroom.
Beginning with the individual and team state champions, this past Spring was simply electric on the Track for OKCPS athletes. Southeast junior Carlton Evans was crowned the Class 5A Boys High Jump State Champion, while Douglass senior Adarius Tubbs was named the Class 4A Boys Long Jump State Champion. OKCPS had two student-athletes finish as State Runner-Ups on the Track, as Southeast junior Jailyn Ramirez finished 2nd in the 800-Meters, while Classen SAS junior Henry Bair placed 2nd in the 3200-Meters.

The Trojettes were defeated by Lincoln Christian to win their 2nd straight Silver Ball, while the Trojans fell to Cascia Hall to secure their Silver Ball.
There were a total of six different area, regional, and district championships awarded to OKCPS schools on the basketball court, as two teams made their State Tournament, while two other schools were just one game away from State.
